Off With Her Red!

Hi!

So as I have mentioned before, I am not a big fan of red nail polish or so I thought.. :) haha So I got OPI Off With Her Red when I bought Mad As A Hatter on eBay and I thought oh well I will get both because I only have like one red which is from 5th grade probably! So I used this red in my Harry Potter mani, so then I decided to try it again!

I actually really like it! It's not like cherry red as the pictures kind of look, but it's more muted and subtle which I really like. The application was AMAZING! I'm not sure if you can still get this polish, but if you can, I definitely recommend trying to get it :)

pss: I'm thinking of using my Sally Hansen Nail Strips for when I move, to really test out the durability, do you think that's a good idea? Would you guys want to know how they last? Because most peoples reviews are of them wearing them for 10 days but just doing normal stuff! :) Lemme know what you think!

one year blogger birthday!

HI! on Sunday it was my ONE year of blogging! WOW, time flies! I remember when I started this blog, I had no idea that people would actually be reading this! I know that I'm not a very consistent blogger, but that's okay!

harry potter mani!

Hi! So as you all know, the new Harry Potter movie just came out, and I am a HUGE harry potter fan, so of course had to do something awesome!! Here are some pictures of what my friend and I decided to do.

This is kind of a ruffian inspired manicure but with a little different twist. Each finger a different house represented on it, with their 2 house colours. The thumbs have a little design which you will see further down.

Products used: (you don't have to use these specific ones but anything of the same colour would be good so I'm not going to name the names, but if you want me to, just leave a comment below and I will reply back)

First we painted our fingers with the base colour, we chose the lightest colour for the base.
Then we used the nailene french tip guides to create a line to seperate the two colours. As you can see on the ring finger, that was the final product, the other 3 fingers still aren't dry yet!

And here is the final result! The thumbs are silver with a black deathly hallows symbol, and black with a white lightening bolt.

Purple Plaid

Today I have a Studio M polish called Frenzy. I'm not sure where these are available, but definitely in the US, I've never seen them in Canada though! This purple is darker than OPI Do you Lilac It and lighter than China Glaze Grape Pop. It's probably similar to OPI A Grape Fit, which I don't have so I can't compare!

I then used my konad plate m60 and used the plaid pattern with Nicole by OPI Positive Energy. It was my first time using this design, and to get straight lines it was pretty tricky! I for sure need to practise!

The pictures with the stamping are NOT colour accurate, but the pictures without the stamping are pretty close to accurate! I don't know why, but when I stamped it looks more blue and is coming out wayy more blue on camera than in person! Oh well, you get the idea! :)

Today I have OPI Purple with a Purpose with Bundle Monster plate bm224 stamped with Konad Special White polish. Very summery!


Excuse my horrible cuticles, I'm working on it!

As for my giveaway, I will be extending the date, as Canada Post is still on strike and I want to wait until all the mail is running smoothly again! I think I will extend it at least two weeks that way some more people can have a chance to enter :)

Sorry I've been MIA for a while! I haven't done anything blog worthy nails wise, as I usually just do a plain polish, no designs or anything! Right now I'm wearing China Glaze's For Audrey, so nothing special! I'm hoping to start getting back into doing some more konading as I really need to try more of the new bundle monster plates! I'm Mod About You!

Hi! Sorry I have been MIA with the nails for a while, but I just started a new job last week, and I would be so tired everyday so I kept the same nails for a week!
So what I wore to work was OPI's Mod About You, with one of the new bundle monster plates (BM-221) stamped with white Konad Special Polish . Btw, I think OPI Mod About You, is my favourite polish!
