Mood Struck

I HAVE 200 followers!! thank you guys so much, and keep joining my giveaway you have 15 more days!

Okay, so this is the second last day before I leave so probably my 2nd last post until I am settled in, so please stick with me! Today I have 2 polishes from my my first swap, these are Mood Struck polishes. They are similar to the Claire's mood polishes (I think, I don't own those) and they change color with heat and coldness. I have 2 out of the 4 polishes that I got, the blue and the pink. I loved both and it was fun watching them change color!!

No top coat, because I like the matte finish as we all know!

I couldn't get a good picture of the pink one changing color, but it just goes darker and outside it looks so bright! I love both of these they are so much fun!

They don't have names but they are available at Meijer in the United States.

Do you like mood changing polishes?

ps: for my post tomorrow I have something very, very, VERY special and SUPER awesome :D (I broke my no buy, but for a great reason)

STILL LOOKING FOR SOMEONE TO DO A EUROPEAN SWAP WITH ME! GOSH HOLOGRAPHIC, CATRICE, H&M, AND MODELS OWN

Another for audrey konad

I realize now that I have done a konadicure with this polish before, oh well what can I say except that I love this polish so much! We went to lunch to one of our relatives houses yesterday (not exactly sure how they are related to us, but they are!) so I thought I should do something less...flashy. So I decided For Audrey + konad! I used konad plate m57 (my favourite) and did this diagonal design that I've never done before, but it was a hit! (with konad special polish in white)

As most of you have experienced before, some polishes are super hard to capture the exact color, and for me this polish was one of them but I figured that is okay because you guys all have this polish anyways!

What do you think? Do you like For Audrey or no?

Today I bought some polishes - NO NOT FOR ME - for my swaps! Gosh is on sale for 4.99 at Shoppers Drug Mart, so you Canadian Gals should hit that up!

I ordered OPI DS Original which came in the mail today - YAY! (I'm expecting 2 more packages which BETTER get here on by wednesday otherwise they will be staying in this house until I come back for thanksgiving (Canadian thanksgiving is in October for you Americans) so I hope they come soon! One is a swap and one is a blog sale buy both from before my self imposed no buy - don't worry)

We had a high heat and humidity warning here :( so depressing but that's okay that meant I could stay inside and watch the Emmy's that I taped yesterday (don't you just hate those commercials). I laughed so hard, man that intro was so epic - GLEE should have won more though! and of course Lost! But I'm glad for John Lithgow and the Dexter writer/director/not sure what he was !

Did you like the Emmy's ? Man I love tv so much

ps: i'm looking to do a swap with someone from Europe who has access to GOSH Holographic (which we don't have here in Canada) and maybe some other European brands like Catrice and H&M polishes - lemme know if you are interested and we will figure something out!

Maybelline Matte Blue

Okay, so I decided to wear this polish for when my family and I went to dinner on Friday night. It looks really nice, and I LOVE the finish, so I wore it for about 30 minutes. What's the problem you may ask? Here look at the pictures first, then I will tell you the problem!

Maybelline Matte Blue:
Okay, so what was wrong? THIS POLISH SMELLED LIKE NO OTHER! Man, I can't even like explain what it smelled like because I've never smelt anything like that before! Everytime I would bring my hand close to my face I could smell it!

Oh well no harm done, not all polish is perfect - I still love the color though! So I took it off and put on Nfu-Oh 65 blue holoness for dinner :)

Hope you guys had a great weekend!
Thanks for reading :)

Do you have any polishes that smell really bad when you wear them??

ps: yesterday we bought LOST Season 6 on DVD - it's so pretty!!!!!!!!

Deborah Lippman Bad Romance

Okay, so I know that everyone has seen these polishes and everyone loves them and guess what? I LOVE IT TOO! I had some removal issues, but the wear and application was pretty good! It was hard to get all the hexagonal glitters but if you are patient and move the brush around you will eventually find them!

The $24 (inc. tax) spent on this polish was worth it. I keep it in the box, and it goes on top of my storage boxes because this polish doesn't deserve to sit with the polishes that are less than $10 which pretty much they all are!

Okay, so when I removed this polish (not sure if anyone else as experianced this or not) but THIS is what happened:
I thought it was really funny so I had to take a picture, excuse my nasty nails! The difficult hexagonal glitters didn't want to get off!!!

On another note my Viva La Nails sample pack came in! Has anyone done reviews and then received more products to review like they say they will do?
Hope you guys had a great Saturday, and have a wonderful Sunday! We did errands today and man are those Saturday drivers crazy!!
Thanks for reading!!

ps: I am selling one of my textbooks, and don't you think that money should be used for a Chanel polish before I leave?? I leave on Thursday btw, so no blogging while I'm getting settled in!

dot crazy

Okay so I finally decided to use the dotting tool I had sitting around (I actually have 5 because that's how they were selling them on eBay for like $1!) so I used one and this is what I came up with - multicolored dots!!!!

For this mani I used Sally Hansen Insta- Dri Whirlwind White as a base (after I used OPI natural base coat) and dotted with Joe Fresh Fuchsia, Powder Blue, Coral, China Glaze For Audrey, Four Leaf Clover, OPI Mod About You, and American Apparel Peacock. Topped off with one coat of Seche Vite.

Here is a picture of everything I used:
I'm pretty sure you can figure out which bottle is which!

I love using Sally Hansen Insta-Dri White as my base for things because it dries so fast and it's just a base so I don't have to worry about it being perfect! As for the rest of the colors, they all applied really well, and it was a lot easier than I thought it would be! I just put a dab of polish on a piece of paper and then used the dotting tool!

I got a lot of compliments while wearing this people were like "WOW DID YOU DO THAT YOURSELF?!" they loved the left hand, good thing they didn't see the mess that was my right hand! Man I wish I was ambidextrous!!!

Today we packed up all my winter clothes, and then we will do everything else next week! Hope you guys stick along to experience my journey living in residence!

Have a great day, thanks for reading!!!!!!

MAJOR haulage + bad luck

OKAY! so today my transdesign order came in + I did some shopping in the morning and bought some goodies (which starting now I'm on a NO POLISH BUY until I move and then of course I will have to hit up Sally's so until September 2nd I'm not allowed to buy any polish, which I'm totally okay with since my containers are filling up)
Today I bought some Milani polishes from Loblaws they don't have limited edition so I only got simple ones! I also got 3 polishes from my friend who went to Isreal (however only two survived - story later). And I bought my first (and probably last) Deborah Lippman polish Bad Romance! (How much of a follower am I!) They did have Chanel's Paradoxal in the store I went to, but the Deborah Lippman polish did enough damage to my bank account so I decided to pass! I can survive without it!
Here are all the pics:

Orly (L to R) Royal Navy, Out Of This World, It's Not Rocket Science, Lunar Eclipse, Charged Up, Purple Pleather
Milani (L to R) Pool Party, Totally Cool, Bolting Blue
Unnamed Isreali Polishes (anyone know what brand this is?) The pink one fell RIGHT after I took this picture! NO MORE PINK :(

OPI Lucerne-taily Look Marvelous, CG Heli-Yum, Deborah Lippman Bad Romance

The bad luck was that when I went to pick up my Joe Fresh polishes for my swap and the Milani polishes, my car battery decided to die! Thank god our car fixer people were right across the street! I called my mom and I was like "MOM I DON'T KNOW WHAT TO DO" major freak out there, but everything got fixed up! That was the first time anything like that happened to me! But I think I handled my self well! :)

Thanks for reading!

Orly Purple Crush

I got this manicure done in celebration of being finished work! The reason I like getting manicures is because filing and shaping is not my thing I'm really not good at it! Unfortunately this mani chipped after a day, but I'm kinda happy because that means I can switch my polish tonight!!! Yesterday I layered it with GOSH Magic Star. Here are the pictures:
I have no idea why it's called Purple Crush, does this not look pink to you?
bottle pic:
Today I am going shopping with the rentals to get stuff ready for my dorm, and then tomorrow I'm going to go shopping with my friend! I am also going to buy Etude House polishes either tomorrow or Tuesday. Please let me know if you would wanna do a swap with these polishes - I hear they are pretty rare to find! I will need to know in the next week because I'm moving on the 2nd!!!!!

Hope everyone has a wonderful Sunday!!!!

my favourite tv shows

No nails today!
Okay, so since I asked this question on my giveaway, I thought I would do a post about television that's what I'm usually doing if I have nothing else to do!
I used to watch A LOT of t.v. so I have acquired MANY favourite shows! Here is a list :) Not really in any particular order

LOST (I know it ended, but it's my all time favourite show, I'm watching it from the beginning with my parentals because I totally got them hooked to it!)
DEXTER (most loveable serial killer ever! Airs on Showtime (USA) and Movie Channel (Canada) new season starts September 26)
GREY'S ANATOMY (best hospital show ever! I love the weird medical mysteries that they show, and then of course Dr. McDreamy is the cutest doctor ever! New season premieres September 23 on ABC)
GLEE (everyone knows about glee! Last year was it's first season and it got so many grand reviews! Can't wait to see what songs they end up singing this year! New season starts September 21 on FOX)
DESPERATE HOUSEWIVES (so much drama on Wisteria Lane! New season starts September 26 on ABC)
others that I like to watch:
America's Next Top Model - September 8 on The CW
Real Housewives of New Jersey - (already airing on Bravo)
Jersey Shore (FIST PUMPINGGGG) (already airing on MTV - season 2)
Gossip Girl - September 13 on The CW
How I Met Your Mother - September 20 on CBS
CSI Las Vegas - September 23 on CBS
So You Think You Can Dance - on FOX (just ended, and the Canadian one I don't follow)

As you can see I like a wide range of genres and I love stories that continue from beginning to end!

Thanks for reading!
happy saturday!

What shows are you looking forward to starting again in the Fall?

ps: my manicure from yesterday has already chipped on one finger! I am angry, but kinda happy because I need to switch my polish soon I have such bad nail ADD

China Glaze Flying Dragon

Okay, so I got this polish in my first swap, it was huge lemming (so thank you Karen!)
Flying Dragon is a purple neon polish with blue, pink, and purple micro glitter! This gives a bumpy effect and since it's a neon it's a dries matte! I didn't put a top coat on because I like the matte effect! You could put a matte top coat on for a longer wear.

Here is a bottle picture (click!):

A big thank you to all of you who have entered my giveaway! There are already over 40 entries, and I have about 20 new followers and it's only been one day! I might end the giveaway earlier than Sept 15, I just am not sure when I am going to be settled in at my new home!

Today I got a manicure to celebrate being done work! (yesterday was my last day!) I got Orly Grape Crush, pictures to come another day!!

I used Konad black special polish and image plate m64 (it was my first time using this design!) and boy oh boy did I get A LOT of compliments at work!
